Michael Sherman, President/CEO
Michael Sherman is the Founder of
AES Corporation and has responsibility for corporate direction as
well as Engineering. He has over 30 year's experience in communications
hardware and software development, including wireless applications
for military, government and commercial applications. Mr. Sherman
has a B.S. from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College.
Mark Brandstein, Chief Operating Officer
Mark Brandstein is responsible for sales/marketing,
customer service, administration and manufacturing across the AES business
units. Prior to joining AES, Mr. Brandstein held VP of Sales/Marketing
positions for communications software and service providers including
Opus Telecom, eDial and ICT Inc. Prior to those years, Mark was the General
Manager of Ring Medical, a communications service provider to the healthcare
industry. His earlier years included technology marketing and strategy
consulting at the Yankee Group and RF design engineering and product management
at Hughes Aircraft and M/A-COM, respectively. Mr. Brandstein has a BSEE
from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from the University of
Southern California.
Tom Kenty, General Manager, Alarm Products
Tom has worldwide responsibility for AES's
fire, security alarm division. Prior to joining AES, Tom was a Regional
Sales Manager for Detection Systems, an alarm systems manufacturer, where
he was responsible for sales and business development for the New England,
New York and Eastern Canada territory. Prior to that he was the Director
of Sales for Senstar, a perimeter security products manufacturer where
he was responsible for sales, marketing and business development throughout
the United States. Tom attended Syracuse University.
John Aiken, Director, Manufacturing
John has overall responsibility for the
manufacturing operation of AES across all business units which includes
purchasing, inventory, production and materials management. Prior to joining
AES, John was the Director of Operations at TriGuard and Director of Manufacturing
at eDial. Prior to those positions, he was the Director of Systems Engineering
at Asyst Technologies and Director of Customer Support at PRI Automation,
where he was responsible for worldwide manufacturing, customer support,
field services and project management. John has a BSEE from Northeastern
University.
Bill Goretkin, Director of Engineering
Bill is responsible for
the engineering research and development for AES Corporation. In addition
to managing the engineering team, he is the principal engineer of active
projects. With over 20 years of experience, Bill has worked as a consultant
in hardware, firmware, and software design and management. He has implemented
solutions in industries ranging from telecommunications to oil extraction.
Bill has a BSc in Civil Engineering from Federal University of Rio de
Janeiro (UFRJ), a BSc in Oceanography from State University of Rio de
Janeiro (UERJ), and graduate credits in Computer Sciences from COPPE/UFRJ.
